Each high quality armchair is raised by circular tapered and fluted legs ending with a toupie shaped bottom palmette. The top of each leg displays a mottled design below the top blocks at the frieze with carved rosettes. The front frieze has a central flower with a berried laurel branch on each side. The frieze is also decorated on all sides by a bottom beaded trim and topped by a twisted ribbon trim. The 'S' shaped arms showcase a beaded top trim and end with an acanthus leaf, while supported by a circular fluted column with bottom palmettes. The rectangular and tapered upholstered backs display a top central reserve with the same flower and berried laurel branches as the apron. The frame of the back is also decorated in the same manner as the frieze with a beaded inner band and twisted ribbon outer band. All original gilding throughout. *Available with matching and original pair of armchairs, Item# 15154, sold separately. — Read Less
